Do you think we could ever pick up where we left off?
it’s days like this that make me miss you. makes me wonder exactly where you are, what you are doing, if you are safe. things like Memorial Day never meant anything to me. the thought of the army never meant anything to me. until you. no matter how much resentment i have towards you and no matter how much we hate each other, i still admire you for what you are doing. being a soldier is not in any means an easy thing to do and i respect that. i still worry about you. i’ll always worry about you. and in the least personal way possible i thank you for risking your life for this country and for people you don’t even know.
